I was just thinking, "Know it when you see it, Baldelli." Good, get May in there. McGill was about to blow the lead completely. May still might do that, but at least he changed pitchers.

Dang how would Kimbrel in the bullpen look right now?

He'd look better on the mound.

Good show by May! He and Garver seem to work well together.

Good to see May get a fairly high leverage out

WIth tonight's blast, Der Schlagger has 16.5 percent of all the homers in MLB history hit by a player born in Germany.

Marwin has an OPS lower than just the SLG% of seven regulars on the team.

Second part, any word on why Rooker came out?

Can’t find anything. He finished the second inning in the field...then was pinch hit for to lead of the bottom of the inning. The Red Wings were down 16-0 at the time.

That’s right...they were down by 16 runs before Rooker had a chance to bat.

I tried coming up with a super-snarky remark, but I've got nothing.

Are you sure they didn't accidentally make Rooker the starting pitcher, and that's why he was removed?

No reason to quit. You'd think they have a chance to get a TD before halftime to make a game of it.

Twins end the game with 4 players over a 1.000 OPS.

In case you missed it, this evening Twins AAA pitchers gave up 16 hits, 12 walks, and 17 runs.

False.

They held Baltimore scoreless over 3 innings.

HA!! I kill me.

An ex-Twin update:I live in Arlington, TX and just learned Danny Santana who now plays for the Texas Rangers - and off to a good start so far this year - will be renting the house across the street from us - moving in this weekend. If you have any questions or notes to pass along to him I will see if I can catch him outside when he is in town.

He gave my 5 year old son a ball at spring training a few years ago and made my son's month. So tell him thanks from the blonde kid in a Twins T-shirt who he gave ball to in 2017 in Fort Myers that one time.
