LEN III reports that it will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on May 11.

Why was it postponed?

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. But a skunkweed will always be a skunkweed and instantly recognizable.

Because Minneapolis will likely have snow falling at game time. If you thought the white Metrodome roof made it hard for the defense to see pop flies, imagine playing when millions of tiny white dots are falling amongst the one white dot you're supposed to catch.

It would also likely be one of the coldest games in Target Field history. Best to call it now so people don't drive here expecting a game. Saturday and Sunday are both expected to be at least in the 40s.

Sorry to hear about the postponement, but it is good to call it this early...

Hope everyone stays safe, and the Twins walk fewer folk with the rest.

Snow, rain, sleet, hail, thunder, and supposedly dust from TX all fell today. Were the cats and dogs busy?

I’d be curious to know if a game has ever been postponed because of weather more than 24 hours in advance.

I think an early postponement is not unheard of for snow games. Remember the whole Cleveland series that got moved to Milwaukee? Also games affected by hurricanes / tropical storms can get early postponements.

I was wondering why the top inch of the snow had a brown hue. I just assumed it was smog...
