The Twins have a larger differential in team HR compared to 2nd place (205 vs 177) as 2nd place does to 15th place (177 vs 151)

Since the big bases clearing 3-run double by Cruz on 6/26 that beat the Rays......

[warning graphic content]

Bases Loaded:

26 Plate Appearances

1 Hit (Kepler, single - 1 RBI)

1 Hit by Pitch

2 Catchers Interference

2 Ground Outs that generated a run

3 SF

5 Strikeouts

5 Double Plays

7 Other Outs

Triple Slash: .050/.153/.050

The Twins generated 27 outs in 26 PA

This was way more work than it should have been. I literally looked through the play-by-play for each game.

But, hey, no Twins tonight.

Revised statues? Like, when they wind up broken?

I have to say, though, that if you have memorized the identifier of the local ordinance concerning drunken boating, you have both my sympathy and my admiration.

When I think about all-time great lineups, the 2019 Seattle Mariners are clearly top of mind...

The Twins have more runs scored in the first 5 innings (386) that the Tigers (373) and Marlins (383) do in all innings.

Twins are 17-18 in the final game of a series this year.

49-24 in all other games

If the Twins had just taken my advice, and traded for a reliever, this would have happened.

A trend which hopefully changes before the postseason! :)

I’m guessing you meant the former set of numbers and not the latter :)

Yes, I'll edit.

Although assuming we're not in the wild card game, I guess a .500 record in series-ending games could at least get us to the ALCS?

Well, if you lose any series ending games, the season is over, as far as I can tell.

Checking the math... win one series-ender, then lose one series-ender... yes, yes, I believe you are correct. Has to be in that order.
