And 15% off the online store. where it used to be only 10% at TF. so again, nothing huge, but they did add something

Wow!15%?That's, like, at least 30% of how much they marked it up in the first place!

I have a 40 game package, and get it. I think most of the perks (not sure about this stuff) is with any plan, including Flex plan.

If that could be confirmed, it could be significant.

The full MLB.TV package was $116 last year (will probably go up a couple bucks this year).

The cheapest "Flex Plan" is only $460. If you were planning to pay for MLB.TV anyway, that's basically a 25% discount.

If a "Pick 10" plan qualifies (and the Twins web site says it "includes all of the benefits of a Twins Season Ticket Holder"), that would be even better -- those plans start at only $220:

https://www.mlb.com/...ts/pick-10-plan

So deducting the cost of MLB.TV, you'd get 10 games of tickets for ~$100, plus the concession discount coupon.

Although it's also worth noting that MLB.TV is also free to T-Mobile customers, discounted for students and military, and discounted quite a bit during the season too -- so a lot of folks don't normally have to pay full price for it either.

That is kind of like my company giving employees 50% discount on apparel with their logo. Of course nobody but employees buy the apparel.

Agreed that the merchandise at the team store still isn't a good deal with that discount.

But apparently the same discount applies to concessions, which is a little more interesting. While concessions are obviously overpriced too, they are cheaper than merchandise, and more practical, and 15% off could add up. Get your Dollar Dogs for 85 cents each! :) Or $1.50 off of the $10 Tony O's Cuban Sandwich, etc.

Not a huge incentive on its own, but could be a way to save a few more bucks on top of the MLB.TV offer.

An internal bean counter probably produced the theory (and likely the metrics to go along with it) stating that the perks don't entice anybody to buy tickets. As season ticket holders, you would have bought the tickets whether they had the perks or not, right?

The Twins don't dare raise ticket prices to keep the perks going with the teams they are fielding.

Frankly, the family who owns this thing just doesn't seem to be very interested in baseball. They're not bad people (they do very good things in MN) but the baseball thing is pretty meh.

The point is that there is no time for meaningful conversation about anyones priorities or issues, because you can't engage in 100 meaningful conversations.

When one person chooses to spend five minutes ranting about not getting to visit with the players in person like she did at the dome, the rest of the room is eye rolling.

When I say they need to improve their scoreboards, who cares, it's a pet issue.

At the end of the day, anything they don't want to address is "out of our hands because we are just a franchise of MLB".
