Well, I still wish he was in Fort Myers, and I still wish he wasn't in clubs at 3 am.That's independent of what happened or didn't happen last night. Hopefully the summer nutrition work hasn't completely fallen away from him.

If he takes any supplements this winter I hope they come from Fort Myers.

But again, he gets to live his life and I get to wish my wishes.

I was out until 3am with my future wife in my mid 20s too. Didn't make me as awful a person as some of you jumped to in this thread.

Other things might make me awful, but not that in and of itself.

and yet when i see headlines like this: "Watch out, October, here come the new Baby Bombers" ... i can't help wondering why oh why such disparate results between the yankees and twins?

ESPN just released an updated report. Apparently he isn't going to be charged. Backed as he was leaving the club and then drove the officer to the hospital. Whether it's true or not who knows, but that's the current story.

http://www.espn.com/...dent-police-say

I do find it interesting that there's no mention of gunshots in this account.

Fortunately, this sounds like a genuine accident. Not nearly as nefarious as it was first implied.

Though goodness, driving without an ID and license plate? Sano needs to start making some better choices.

Not implying that makes anyone an awful person.Just saying that if that were my multi-million dollar player and potential franchise cornerstone I would prefer that he not get into those situations.Regardless of any values or ethical judgement, it's a risky situation.

Certainly, but I think others took your thinking farther in this thread to places far less justified.

Which other Twins have giant entourages, or entourages at all?

I saw Taylor Motter walking a golden doodle on the plaza after a game this year.

Don’t most newer vehicles have back up cameras?

Maybe it wasn't a newer vehicle

Yes, and most cars have windshields as well, yet somehow that doesn't stop people from crashing into things.

Yes, and most cars have windshields as well, yet somehow that doesn't stop people from crashing into things.

And yet somehow a member of the police winding up with a routine broken leg as an outcome of an apparent check on a missing license plate or driver's license made the news. Nothing to see here, folks. Curiosity about how one even backs into a police motorcycle sufficiently to apparently pin the rider hard is misplaced; all in a day's work for a traffic cop.

Baghdad Bob seems to have found a new gig as police chief in the Caribbean.

Sano would be wise to avoid any 'situations' at this juncture of his career.Being at Da Club at 3am doesn't appear to be the best choice.

And as it relates to the perception of his character and professionalism, I think Sano is beyond the threshold of 'that in and of itself,' isn't he?

Sure, which is why it was wise to wait and see.It could have been a major indictment of him.

Or it could be an accident.I think it's telling how many people rushed to think the worst when all they had to do was wait about 10 hours to get the full story. In the meantime he was suggested to have bribed the police, willfully ran over the cop (because how could anyone do this accidentally with a backup camera!), was out at 3 am with his entourage, etc.

Sounds like he drove the cop to the hospital, paid all his bills, and tried to do his best to make amends.

What a monster!

Direct involvement or not, if someone keeps finding themselves in 'situations,' at some point the common denominator needs to be factored in.

I don’t think we know the full story yet. I’m not at all convinced the second story is the “truth,” any more than the first reports.

I guess it’s possible a person can back over a police officer at 3 AM outside a club, in an unlicensed vehicle, and it be entirely an accident.

But I’m skeptical.
