It is usually not a good sign for the boss when the intern is being interviewed anonymously on a national news program.

I'm not gonna say anything bad about Joe but he should retire. No need for him to take the chance he scrambles his brain again and the possibility of how bad another one could be. Long term stay home and enjoy watching your kids grow up.

If you don't know where you are going, you might wind up someplace else.

What came to mind last night was that it felt like it could be more than just a routine curtain call.

First time caller, (today at least).

Just got onto the inter-nets, and here's my whine:

Wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a! What's going on?!?!

That box score has a lot of round numbers in it- and Odorizzi's pitching?!?!?

I'll hang up and listen.

Is that another Woodward thingy?

Put me down as totally shocked. (And out $20). I bet someone Whine Line would outlast Sid Hartman's column. I am also very disappointed. I always expected you and The Intern to carry on Sid's scoops and shower interviews. Now who will I turn to when I need to find out who the Gophers lost to, due to a horrible officials call in 1958?

Say, just a random thought here--

Is it really still Sid? Or is he like the Dread Pirate Roberts, and a new one takes over every so often?

Hmm, good point... I'm realizing now my legal representation needs to go through his early career lumps like Stephen Gonsalves! On a completely separate note, we have a new idea. Move to Canada!

I am a Joe homer and at the beginning of the season I was hoping he would be able to play a couple of more years (of course at the time I thought we would have a good chance to win the division). The last concussion made me think it might be best for him to retire (was that with Justin with his last neck injury as well).

I kind of have a feeling this was Joe's way of letting people know these games will be the last time you can see him play, but avoid having the all of the media hoopla before every game.Regardless of when he decides to retire, I suspect he will not be formally announce it until the season is over. He is not going to do a farewell tour.

Great outing for Odorizzi thus far, but it's a shame he's at 102 pitches. No chance for the no-hitter.

When Vanimal becomes president - I think it will bring on a golden age of investigative journalism.

Tell ya what, no matter if he comes out for another inning, I'm tipping my cap to Mr. O for this effort.

Haven't been able to watch but a few moments here and there, but well done, young man.

**On a rather ironic note- was the between-innings MLBtv highlight for you guys also of Derrick Rodriguez blowing guys away on debut?**

So does this count as a pitcher's duel?

Or, I guess it's more correct to write pitchers' duel.

Thanks for the call, H. I guess the Yankees wanted their eggs scrambled today... Not Odorizzi.
