Great call on Tovar. He's the first that came to mind for me as well, and strangely enough Blyleven. HOF voters as well as otherswere so caught up in the longevity of his career that many ignored just how great he was in his first tenure with Minnesota.

I find it interesting that Twins Daily has over 12K on Twitter and none of them seem to be the more active commenters in the forums. So now I'm curious, does anyone on this thread (or seeing this thread) participate in either of Twins Daily's social media channels?

[NOTE: Poll question at top of the page]

If you are not, you can find them here...

"We were open for business on several players, but just couldn't put a deal together that we liked...our biggest pickups will really be the return of All-Stars Sano and Santana as well as the Platinum Defensive player of the year in Buxton...adding those three to our lineup in the second half without mortgaging any future assets is really the best of both worlds"

1.) Where are you from? Born in Winona but grew up in Oklahoma, Wyoming and Texas. currently live in Orange County California
2.) Age Range? I'll be in the 43 range starting next month on the day of my birth
3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? I was here when the site popped up. been ready Bonnes since 2002, Gleeman and Seth in 2004 I think and Nick and Nick and Parker Hageman alot too. I remember before Gleeman and the Geek podcast it was Seth and the Geek podcast.
4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? on the bench for a few games in 9th grade. I was younger and smaller then my peers back then.
5.) Favorite Twins Player, and favorite underappreciated Twins player, and if you want, favorite current Twins player? My favorite players change with time and season so here are a few. I am forgetting some and may come back and edit later. Gladden (highly convenient that i start following baseball at age 12 in 1987) Juan Berenger, Puckett, Brian Harper (that guy came out of nowhere as he was a failed power prospect who made it at age 28 as a line drive hitter), Shane Mack (Best Rule 5 pick we ever made [Santana was a trade]) Reboulet, Trombley, Radke (he pitched without an arm in 2006 sortof), Nixon and Tewksbury, Molitor, Knoblauch (i know he became a real a-holio but he was real cool before that and the hidden ball trick to fool Lonnie Smith in 91 World Series is priceless) Lawton, Koskie, Hunter, Guerrier (minor league signing Swarzak (team player) Liriano (throw in to Pierzinski trade) Pierzinski (.300 hitting catcher with lots of doubles are cool) Mauer (see last comment) Eddie Escobar (throw in to Liriano trade) Dozier (extend him man it would be nice to see a franchise player climb all time lists like 300 HR and 100+ stolen bases) Sano Pressley (rule 5 success) Joe Nathan, Pavstache, Carl Willis, Berrios (this kid is so enthusiastic its infectious and good for people like vitamins) Romero (yeah)
6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors? Matthew, Luke, Peter, Paul, Ann Rand, John Steinback, George Lucas (he wrote the original Star Wars before special effects existed) me (i just write herer but since i am not a TwinsDaily author I thought i would give myself a vote)
7.) Favorite Twitter follows? Financial news. rarely on twitter. but i post mortgage interest news there on occaison as that is my primary job.
8. erests outside of baseball. Hiking, biking, learning, traveling, (trying unsuccessully to like cooking and learning it. Ido enjoy eating others cooking however)
9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily... A good John Bonnes Article and prospect lists, and winter meetings coverage and potential deals analysis and debates
10.) Tell us what we can do better. What features or other topics would you like to see in-season or out of season? add a Comics section, how about video interviews, video blogs, video comments, maybe a poop emoji for bad comments to go with liking a comment. Bring BatGirl to the Twins Daily Team.
11.) Have you been to any of the Twins Daily "events? no there havent been any here in southern California for me to attend. I do hope to make the trip to spring training some year.
