I just got an update from MLBTR regarding this signing, it didn't say if it was a major or minor league deal.

The straw that stirs the drink.  If nothing else, he can take Magill's (wrongly) unused roster spot and provide some veteraniness.

Not sure if this an MLB move, but if it is at least we don't have to worry about the MOY not using him. :)

MLBTR got the info from Berardino's tweet:

And Jon Heyman's:

I'd much rather go back to Busenitz or Curtis and I'd really like to finally give Bard and Reed a look. I have no problem adding another lefty either, Moya and Mejia could get another shot also. I really hope this is a minor league deal, but it sure happened fast. I don't know that a vet like Belisle jumps on another minor league deal that quickly. His release from Cleveland was just announced 2 hours ago.

Twins just designated Petit, not sure if two moves are related or not.

MLB deal for Belisle. Would rather see the younger guys. Although Petit was redundant and not playing anyway.

Hit dingers.  Never bunt.

They are. Just read that Petit was DFA'd and Belisle is joining the Twins. Bummer for Alan Busenitz who I think has shown enough to be on the MLB roster despite his slow start this year. I agree that they should give Bard and Reed a look, less so Curtis who was not good at all when he had his first shot, but it's hard to blame them for going with someone who really shined for the team in the second half of 2017.Busenitz will get his shot when there's an injury.I say now for him and Pressley on the DL with a "tired arm".

According to the Twins Facebook page it's major league move.

I'm probably in the minority, but I actually endorse this move.  Just crazy enough that it might work.  I predict that Dozier will start one of his patented hot streaks today, and we can forever debate if the two things are somehow related in any way.

So he had 8 good outings in AAA and one bad, and that negates the bad run he had to get sent to AAA to begin with? Gotcha.

I remain hopeful on Buxton and Sano.....but I'd not bet the franchise on them.

According to MLBTR, they are definitely related moves.

You can come up with statistics to prove anything. Forty percent of all people know that.

Super Bowl homeboy!

Ohhhhh boy

I WAS TOLD I WOULD NEVER MAKE IT BECAUSE I AM TOO SHORT. WELL, I'M STILL TOO SHORT. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR HEIGHT IS. IT'S WHAT'S IN YOUR HEART.
