- Using Chrome

When I post a comment from my computer, if I use more than 1 sentence, I hit the space bar twice after the period.

It looks correct when I edit my comment. But when its posted, the spaces after my period goes away and it looks like a typing error. If I hit the edit button to fix it, both spaces are there. But then hit submit and It looks like this:

Gol darn it, no Yu Darvish.I wish he didn't waste my whole offseason. What a jerk.

All other spaces are there, it only shows up after a period.I make my fair share of typos and I am not stickler for grammar/punctuation.But for some reason this really bothers me.I see a few other comments have the same issue as me. So it can't be just me, can it?

This issue comes up every so often. Try using only one space at the end of sentences instead of two and it will post correctly. For a more specific answer why, ask a Brock.

Proper people use two spaces after the period, Brock.

It's always been an issue for me (using chrome).

But now I've figured out a fix.

Just hit return, instead of the space bar.

Look at those rivers of white space!

Also, I want to thank both my parents, William Strunk and E.B. White, for impressing on me the importance of the Oxford comma.

It's kind of funny ... the over 40 thing ... because I've had trouble adapting to the one space rule, but the link does explain why, and Brock has been adamant about this with me when I first brought it up to him. Ah, those college years of TYPING papers, not only my own, but others' as well, for the cash. (I was a very good typist ... fast, accurate, and provided spell and grammar check as well.)

But I discovered something in the process ... old dogs CAN learn new tricks! ;)

FTR, many institutions still require two spaces after the period, including the court I work for.[ ][ ]So it's a habit I won't be breaking anytime soon.

It was really hard to join the modern world and become a 'one spacer' but it is possible. The reason of course was one of the last times that this issue came up on the forum.

However it isn't an optional habit. It is exactly what the word habit means. It is automatic and if your job still requires two spaces then you better stick with two spaces.

The 40 countdown has already started here...

Is 2016 2017 2018 the year that a good pitching prospect is truly blocked by 5 good pitchers in the starting rotation?

Offseason (noun) - a time to propose trades assuming opposing GM's can't do the same basic analysis

Right I spend most of days in contracts and it can rejected w/o 2 spaces.

BUT the point of this post is when I type 2 spaces it reverts to 0 spaces.I wouldn't care if it reverts to 1 space, but the 0 spaces is what bothers me.

Learn to type 3 spaces. It becomes 1. It took some time to learn this habit. But now I can't type without it. Just my little way of sticking it to the Man.

Learning to type 3 is really no different than learning to type 1. But there was a reason for it not reverting or not reading two, just don’t remember what that was

I'm pretty sure the reason is that the implementer believes 2 Spaces Are Wrong And Must Be Punished.

Well if that's the case then the implementer is wrong and I will practice civil disobedience and keep typing 2.
