Twins Tender their 40-man Roster

The Twins tendered contracts to their entire 40-man roster. No surprise. It was expected that all six arbitration-eligible players would be tendered a deal.

 

Here is a quick look at the players in baseball who were non-tendered today.

Drew Smyly is the one intriguing name to me...

Smyly did not have TJ until late June. He might not be ready until late in the season.

Hector Rondon might be a candidate if you think Guardado can work with him. He was good until Chapman came along.

Both Rondons actually.The Twins need strikeout pitchers.Not that they should be the closer or anything.I am talking about replacing Tonkin & Co here...

I'd take Tom Koehler he was pretty good after he got moved to the pen. The pattern with the converted starters who end up making good relievers is that they take off after their first full year away from starting.
