Some of you enjoyed the Nick Punto episode that we put up on the Moonlight Graham Show last week so I thought I would make a plug for my latest interview with Todd Sears. You may remember him as the 1B that we got for Todd Walker and Butch Huskey who hit a walk-off bomb against the royals in 2002. He ultimately got buried behind Mientkiewicz and Morneau in the pecking order and then got injured.

Todd was really generous and relaxed. It was interesting to talk about life after baseball with a guy that was kind of a Crash Davis.

You can find the interview on iTunes, Stitcher, etc.. -

He homered off of Pedro too, I believe. Seemed to do well against some good pitchers.

He was also about the same time as, Brian buchannon, Michael Restovich, etc.... There were a lot of guys back then that looked like they were going to be really good.

I remember Sears constantly butting heads with Gary Ward. But BB Ref says Ward was long gone when Sears made it to the bigs, so I might be thinking of the long running battle between the two department store chains.

Sears did some great stuff. In the minors.
