Ridding the roster of some dead weight has inspired them to a first inning run!

The bad news...still no Span.
The good news...he's now less than a week away from his DL trip.

Don't look now, Florimonsy is hitting .400. Will he be the next Ted Williams?

I'd like to go on record that I'd settle for Honus Wagner.

I'm trying to remember, has Gardenhire been thrown out at all this year? The last couple of years it seemed like he was getting tossed once every couple of weeks or so.

Yeah, back in April. Maybe at the Yankees one game I think.

And his defense seems as good as advertised.

Man, I really like what we've seen from Florimon so far - I'm getting more and more optimistic about this kid every time I see him.

Makes you wonder how on earth he was hitting .259 with a .318 OBP in Rochester, I know it's early but he sure looks capable of a lot more than that.

Maybe it's Joe Vavra......procede.

Apparently he plays SS, LF and short centre, all at the same time.

I didn't get a chance to review where Duensing's pitches were in the zone tonight, but perhaps he had a chat with Diamond about how to get the ball down and on the corners. Let's hope the this outing is a real change rather than an aberration.
