Good depth in hs arms next year. Pick 20 is a prime spot to go that route, or a good college arm that drops for injury issues.

And the Tigers will pick #1.

And just barely!  The Giants won the last day with a walk-off HR by Pablo Sandoval. A thrilling finish in the race to the bottom! :)

If I'm a Giants' fan I'm pissed, sucked all year long to finish second to last. That homerun literally cost the Giants' million(s) in draft bonus money for 2018.

There is a good chance that Seth Beer will drop that far. Maybe even further. At #20, could be a solid pick.

Beautiful swing, good plate approach, plus power, plus hit tool, no defense and can't run.Future DH, maybe LF if he's lucky.

I saw him play in the 2015 WWBA where at the time he was talked about as an early first round pick before graduating HS early to enroll at Clemson.Honestly, he was a better prospect at that point because scouts thought he would at least have average defense and average speed. Now after two years at Clemson, both have taken significant steps backwards.Still the bat has the potential to be special.

Some video I took on him in the cage:

You can never go wrong with beer.

Interesting that the top four and five of the top six picks are large market clubs. If intentionally tanking big market clubs start getting the top picks while the small market teams at least try to win to salvage attendance income, and the big market teams also can quickly reload in free agency, there's going to be some huge inequality issues upcoming.

But maybe this is a one year fluke, not the beginning of a trend.

It's obviously an underslot strategy, so they can get ?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!? in round two, and #$@$%$^%*&%& in round 3.

Contrary to what we've been told, good players will be available there. Finding one is tricky. Let's hope they do it.
