I mean does Buck ever look like he's not in control of Center Field?

Short to it, long through it. Lamet has good heat low, but it doesn't bend. Most mlb guys should be able to hit that. Heck, I'd announce it to the catcher: "I'm going to sit on the low fastball. What else you got?" He may have a decent slider, but can he rely on it? Bet not.

Again Rosario with a head scratcher on the bases.  If Rosario is on second base and the ball goes over the center fielder's head, he walks home.

Isn't that an automatic tag up?

Twins haven't quite figured it out yet. Lamet is a one-pitch pitcher. Take away his low fastball, his other stuff doesn't have the same level of command. Decent slider, but just don't swing at it. Sit on the low heat, take yer walks, then drill the heat when he's forced to throw a strike. He'll get a few KO's with the slider. That's okay, he won't win with it. Take away his low heat, and watch him fall apart.

Baseball is easy. Just watch!

Hmm, Bremer was just saying that Erv only has 3 starts left.  Doesn't he have to start one more?  He said his last scheduled start is Saturday, Sept 23.  He could start the 28th with Mejia (or perhaps Colon) being skipped. Or the 29th on extra rest.

But if he starts on the 29th, he would be on short rest for the Wild Card game scheduled for Oct 3.

Edit: Never mind.  I can't count tonight I guess.

Polanco must have missed a hit and run sign at the end of that last inning. No reason for Mauer to be trying to steal there. Or maybe Mauer did. My bet is it was Polanco. And he took an easy pitch to at least touch with his bat to protect the runner.

So is the pitch a "mistake" when the batter misses it? Because we always here from the pitchers in the post game... "if it wasn't for those two mistakes...." or something like that, for the meat that became home runs or drove in deciding runs. If the meat was missed by the batter, it never come up.

That would be my guess. You expect Polanco to make contact. That's his game. That's why you start Mauer. He should be swinging because the pitch was a strike anyway.

Given Lamet's splits, I don't hate the idea. Don't love it in the 4th. But it's certainly not the worst situation the Twins have tried to bunt in this week.

Either my hearing or Bremer's is going. I thought I heard two ticks on the replay.

Castro drops a ball that he is going to throw, and now just misses that catch. No harm on either, but not so much representative of a defensive specialist. 2 homers yesterday, and he is turning into an offense first backstop.

Why can't these guys bunt! If they are going to be called on to, or if they chose to, it would be nice to DO IT WELL!

At normal speed, I thought it hit off his foot too. On replay, it certainly isn't conclusive.

This is what I was worried about.  Offensive explosion one night followed by the bats being asleep the next game.
