I'm not sure what metrics suggest that Rosario could play average center field. Most show him to be average to below average in a corner spot.

In fact, it would be a no brainer to trade him if anyone thought he was capable of average CF play, since his OPS as an average defensive centerfielder would have nearly every GM in baseball knocking on our door to trade for him.

In all the above posts about our pitching possibilities for 2018, no one has mentioned the current pitcher who has been (arguably) the Twins' best over the last month. Is there ageism running rampant among TD posters? I think that Colon has earned at least an invitation to spring training if not a one-year contract. I have no idea how he's doing it, but he keeps giving the Twins opportunities to win games.

In my above statement of "Add the best starter we can get via free agency. Consider two if the prices are right," I would be fine with considering Colon as the second of those.

We need DaveW to call Kepler a bum so he can start mashing lefties. ;)

At this point if you don't think Rosario is valuable why do you think anybody else would see more value in him than you do, or you think everyone else is an idiot.

If ragging on a player makes them perform, I must write something disparaging about Kyle Gibson. Ever since I gave up on him, he's been pitching better and better. The Pitching Dead: A new series on HBO. Nothing cooler on the mound than a talented zombie...

Meanwhile, Eddie Rosario is becoming a baseball wrecking crew in the late season. His base running heroics are not a fluke, my friends. It's who he is. He sees the game better than most professionals, understands the nuances of spacing and motion. Eddie loves the game, and he plays the percentages with swift and decisive action. Let us enjoy his show, and give him the bravos he deserves.

I think it is safe to say whatever flaws Rosario may have, his skills far offset those.  He is a legitimate top tier OF'er in my opinion.

Molitor would have to actually have him play against lefties.

There is NO reason why they shouldn't have played Kepler against Travis Wood.

If you trade every 25-26 year old who isn't a finished product, you look like.....well the Twins the last 5-6 years.

Still need pitching though. Though maybe that's where polanco, Gordon, dozier, Escobar etc could help.

Doesn't matter if Polanco can't learn to sac bunt better.  Pitchers can do that.
