But not until after next season. 2018 will be his last season, limited to Sunday home games. Heh ... and he will never step into Wrigley again.

It's not a popular opinion, but I'm all for Hawk. I appreciate the varied personalities of announcers.

Eventually anyway.  

 

I prefer sad Hawk over giddy Hawk even when they're not playing the Twins, but he does provide a unique flare for calling a game.  It won't quite be like watching a Cubs game without Harry or the Dodgers without Scully, but something will be missing for sure.
