Has anyone seen an overall count of Spielman's draft pick plus/minus over the years? I know he has a reputation for being willing to trade up to get his guy. I'm just curious how many later round picks he has given up over the years to do that.

They usually have more than seven picks in a year. Loves those late round picks they cut in a year

One of the best opening day rosters in years. Now go get 'em.

They got 104, 132, and 160 something for pick 86.  Basically gave them back the picks they used to trade up.

Yeah, they have been pretty good about that. I'd just like to know where the accounting has them overall.

Put me down for Dorian Johnson, Jordan Leggett, or Jaleel Johnson with our next pick.

We slid down 5 more spots for a throwaway pick.

The net result of the two trade-downs is moving from 86 to 109 while adding 132, 219, and 245.

If (big if) it holds, that will make 19 7th rounders for the Vikings since 2010.

Stephen Weatherly

Jayron Kearse

Austin Shepherd

Edmond Robinson

Shamar Stephen

Brandon Watts

Jabari Price

Michael Mauti

Travis Bond

Everett Dawkins

Audie Cole

Trevor Guyton

D'Aundre Reed

Stephen Burton

Mickey Shuler

Ryan D'Imperio

Stephen is the only one of the 16 to start the majority of games in any season.

Trader Rick likes having 8-10 picks per draft IIRC...

I like the fact that they have 3 4th rounders, there is a ton of solid value in this round IMO.

I do love the fact that the Vikes have taken high upside guys with each pick:

Cook- If you look at the on the field product: He honestly could have been considered the 2nd best RB in the draft. He has "concerns" but nowhere near what Mixon had.

Jaleel Johnson-Slid down because of a bad combine. Who cares about the combine? He's a 315 pound DT, it's all about game tape with those types of guy.

The center (name I forget) seemed very good as well.

I'd still love to take Leggett or Butt to convince the team to replace Rudolph.

Some solid Gs and Ts still out there, though I liked Dorian Johnson a lot.  Sad he got sniped.

Sure would be nice to address OL... Not like it's a glaring need or anything.

Not real happy about that last trade down. Too many talents available to give it for two late 5ths.

Bucky Hodges seems like a good value pick as a pass catching TE here in the 6th round.

Yeah, I dig the Hodges pick.  It probably flames out, but if it doesn't you've got really huge upside.

Fuller or Orlovsky in the last round might be nice to snag.

Orlovsky or Jon Toth as a free agent perhaps.

I've really grown tired of Spielman's continuing trade downs for 7th round picks. These picks aren't nearly as meaningful as he seems to think.

If some of these deals had dealt better returns than I'm good with it, but yeah, constantly adding an extra 7 does nothing for me.

Move a 4 this year for a 4 next year and a 5?  Sure.  For two fives or a five and a 7?  No, no thanks.

Hodges was a great pick, boom or bust, but who cares, it's a 6th rounder.

Pretty indifferent on the late picks, other than they need a kicker and punter, imo. Really liked the center and DT, and the Bradford trade a lot. Would not have traded up for a RB, really wanted a trade up for Lamp, but it didn't happen.
