Calling up Ford shows that the Orioles have done it with mirrors so far. How on earth are they above .500?

Man, we could've traded Liriano to the O's for Lew Ford, Pat Neshek, Steve Tolleson and a low-level starting pitcher...I bet!

Ford was doing really good in the international league, was wondering about this yesterday if he'd get a chance. Feel good story for him getting an opportunity. gotta wonder now where Dustin Mohr and Mike Ryan are..

He was out of pro baseball as of 2007. He played 2008 in Japan, 2010 in Mexico, and most of 2009, 2011, and part of 2012 in an independent league. Quite a journey for a guy to get back in the majors at 35.

Saw him play tonight at Yankee stadium, not an awe inspiring performance as he didn't make solid contact all night. Hopefully he gets a couple hits before he is cast off. Always liked Lew and I am hoping he can succeed even though all signs point to the opposite at this point.

Lew Ford is probably the most well-loved non-Twin out there right now. Here's to Lew; hope he finds success.

Probably not... he is for sure a loved non-Twin, but not the most. What about guys like Thome, Cuddy, and Hunter? I'd argue that they are all more loved than good ole' Lew.
