Does she let you eat... You know... Umm... Food.

yes, I eat with her at home, but eat what I want away from hone, or when I cook for myself. I enjoy her cooking, but also enjoy bacon

my bride is vegan, she eats a ton of beans and legumes for the protein

Good for her.  My nieces eat far too much of the stuff made out of soy that mimics meat, etc.

I think I could give up meat (and have done so for various periods of time) but I just can't give up dairy.  And although i don't use a dozen eggs in a month, I still want them when i bake.

Do you have separate frying pans ... ones for bacon, ones for not?

See. you need to come to Iowa for steak.

Archie's Waeside, Le Mars.  Absolutely no ambiance (they have Christmas houses, etc. plus wood paneling all over.)

But dry aged steaks that everyone swears by.  And it'll cost you about 1/2 (or less) of those Chicago prices.

Personally I find the steak that people declare to be excellent to be mushy but that's because I like "chew" in my food.  (I hate purees -- I'll wait until I'm in the nursing home and can't chew anymore).

Since food seems to be the topic du jour, Chief and Mrs Chief are in the process of cooking dinner:

chicken fried steak

mashed potates (with a little cream cheese, sour cream, and onion salt)

gravy

candied carrots

We're...uh...not vegan.

JB posted that the Twins have the same record as 2013. One thing is they aren't striking out so much. Ventura is a strikeout guy and he "only" has four.
