I've totally gotten away from Pro Football but I like that you have a College FB forum so I'll have to remember to check for that.

Best of luck with the site.

if the moderation of that site is the same as this site, just the moderators will be left...

Similar rules will apply to Vikings Journal. If we suffer decreased traffic just to hold the torch as "the sole provider of reasoned Vikings discussion", so be it. We're prepared to challenge fans and commenters to act like adults and given the response to it on Twins Daily, we think it'll work out just fine in the long run.

RubeChat already exists. I say it's time for something different and in my opinion, better.

I'm Boniface Roosevelt instead of Pius Jefferson on Vikings Journal.

Don't expect to build up the weak by pulling down the strong.

Did Arif leave the other blog then? Or is he doing both?

He's doing both. We've worked out an arrangement for him to continue working with both sites. I'm super-excited to have him on board. He's a hell of a writer.

I see you're really stretching your legs and expanding outside your comfort zone.

Very grateful for a website for the Vikings that will, hopefully, provide the type of community that TD has for us passionate Twins fans. (Actually been hoping/dreaming of such a companion site)

I believe I have successfully got myself joined to VJ, but haven't had time to play yet or investigate it properly. Planning on still being DocBauer, it's just me. Lol

Question though, if anyone knows, do our avatars continue over to the new site? Or are we able to create a Vikings specific avatar over there even while keeping our same account name?

"Nice catch Hayes...don't ever f*****g do it again."

Right now, all profile information past your login and password is NOT carried over to the Vikings site. We've had some discussions about it and never reached a consensus. I think we'll let the users figure it out. If the majority of you want universal profiles, we can make that happen (probably). It'll take some creative coding on my part, though. The system isn't really built to do that but I'm sure I can make it work (sooner or later).

That will take time. I looked into it and it appears there is no way for me to submit a request on behalf of the site, which means we have to wait for it to be crawled...

It's all good.Everyone can relate to waiting to be crawled on.

Great concept, and in passing, one of my best, uhhh... 'browsing' 'hits' was not with a 'trusted site'.

'Not braggin', just sayin'.

Still, annoyingly, blocked at my work....

What I just typed is probably an opinion, not a fact. I mean, I'm usually right, so you should maybe assume it is or will be a fact soon, but that's up to you. :) Also, I am NOT trying to convince anyone I am correct, I'm just talking here, not arguing.

Ugh. I wonder if your company only updates its site list during a software update.

The site is whitelisted but it's entirely up your company when it'll be usable at your work.
