Hmmm. Looked like it grazed the outer edge of the foul poll, with the mild (by my golf swing standards) slice turning into a mild right turn. Who's up for foul poll impact sensors? Just kidding. Mostly.

Either way, that's a pretty impressive ride for a go-the-other-way swing.

I love coconut cake, which is usually just vanilla cake with coconut icing. But on rare occasions the cake itself has coconut flavor. I wonder why those occasions seem so rare. Is it difficult to just add some coconut milk to the cake?

The hardest part is getting the coconuts open. I get frustrated and buy an Almond Joy

I love coconut

I hate it. Not the taste; the consistency...

I wonder who the first guy was to discover that there was something to eat in a cocunuts and how hungry was he at the time.

I love coconut cake ... but I usually have to have it with some kind of a filling ... hmm ... may have to make something ... vanilla cake, with a raspberry cream filling, and vanilla frosting with coconut.

It always bothered me that, with my aversion to coconut, one of the very few food-acquiring survival tools the military offered was a gas-powered coconut opener.

Someone explain Lederhosen to me. 'Let's make shorts from recycled baseball gloves, and since that's not uncomfortable and hot enough, let's wear thick socks so high that only our kneecaps can breathe.'

1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Where'd you get the coconuts?
King Arthur: We found them.
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Found them? In Mercia? The coconut's tropical!
King Arthur: What do you mean?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Well, this is a temperate zone
King Arthur: The swallow may fly south with the sun or the house martin or the plover may seek warmer climes in winter, yet these are not strangers to our land?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?
King Arthur: Not at all. They could be carried.
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: What? A swallow carrying a coconut?
King Arthur: It could grip it by the husk!
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut.
King Arthur: Well, it doesn't matter. Will you go and tell your master that Arthur from the Court of Camelot is here?
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Listen. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a swallow needs to beat its wings forty-three times every second, right?
King Arthur: Please!
1st soldier with a keen interest in birds: Am I right?

Sorry to miss the cake discussion!

Homemade German Chocolate or really any chocolate with homemade coconut-pecan frosting.

I also make a white cake that make in layers filled buttercream frosting and strawberries soaked in frambroise liquor. With buttercream frosting, almonds and strawberries on top.

If I have to have white cake, I need some kind of filling.

Yes he can... It was 2013. Much better in 2014. But yeah... A better throw would have been ideal.

I've got a great recipe for German chocolate cake ... makes 3 layers. My mom used to make it with broiled coconut frosting ... but I make mine with the regular coconut pecan frosting.

I know... I'm in Rochester... In a hotel... Googling bakeries knowing they probably ain't open. I'll probably have to go to Kwik Trip to see what they have lying around.
