I'll take that instead of the HBP.

Winning run at the plate. Go Kurtsie.

And that's where I think a fresh perspective really comes into play. Identifying those opportunities for improvement.

I just think when you've developed the system and grown with it for 25 years, it's hard to have that objective eye. I know that the Twins supposedly made some system-wide changes at the time of TK's retirement but even that has been more than a decade ago.

And when all you do is promote from within, you never have someone with "clout" who comes in with that fresh eye.

Well said. Given the past few years, how can anyone still believe that the current "Twins way" is viable?

In honesty, I can't believe how many of us have stuck around for this game.

Thanks, everybody, for keeping me around after that beginning. We have a beautiful day in NJ.

I appreciate that this team never gives up and keeps making these games close but at some point they have to pitch better and not fall in a giant hole right off the bat.

Ron Gardenhire has never beaten the Yankees in a season series. Gonna go out on a limb and say he never will.

Fitting that Jeter made the final play. At least he won't be a factor in future Twins losses.

Great game thread. Not great game.

Fizzle sticks.:(

Major League Baseball is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Now you've done it, Mr. Bark. You scared the women and excited the horses.

Blame GCTF. His/Her post made me think of Borat.:)
