Play ball! After a long winter, we can finally warm up again to the great game of baseball. Celebrate the new season with three award-winning writers, who will discuss their latest books in an evening moderated by Twins television announcer Dick Bremer. Join the discussion with Tim Wendel, Down to the Last Pitch: How the 1991 Minnesota Twins and Atlanta Braves Gave Us the Best World Series of All Time, Robert Weintraub, The Victory Season: The End of World War II and the Birth of Baseball's Golden Age, and John Rosengren, The Fight of their Lives: How Juan Marichal and John Roseboro Turned Baseball’s Ugliest Brawl into a Story of Forgiveness and Redemption. The first pitch is at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 10, in the Pohlad Auditorium at the Minneapolis Central Library. The event is free and open to the public.
