Thread: Spelling

I would suggest that this site really try to correct incorrect spellings of the names of players in the Twins organization. It's absurd seeing "Arica" and "Worly" right now.

It's Whorlly, really.

Creating automatic censors to fix word misspellings is a decent idea.

Anyone have suggestions?

My biggest pet peeve is Parmalee.

Bring back the BYTO word filter?

My biggest pet peeve is Butera. I think everyone knows that isn't his actually name.

I don't really care about general things, but when I see a thread "Arica" I just can't take it. It's not me simply be snobbish, it's about the site being at its best. It's ridiculous to even post in such a thread to continue such a thing.

And Parmalee is bad. Thankfully, the Twins traded Liriano so that I didn't have to see any more "Lariano" nonsense.

It was a dark day for questionable spellers when Mientkiewicz rejoined the organization.

Argh, the software has no built-in function for word replacement. I'm not keen on installing unnecessary plug-ins right now for a few reasons so this idea is a no-go for the time being.

At least there is a feature to block some of the names people want to call the players

Just learn to spell, how's that for a suggestion?

Not to mention every time they faced Pierzynski when he returned to the AL Central

I don't mind actual hard names like Dougie and AJ. But there is some weird repeated mistakes with Colabello and Arcia. Liriano as Lariano was bad.

Just do not care so much would be the Buddha's advice.
