Sometime I need to make a list of all of the top prospects that I've traded away. It would be a pretty impressive list even though most of the prospects have fizzled. The only prospects that made it to the majors were Alonso, JWeeks and Parker and I've traded the last two already.

Is there a backdoor access to the BYTO archives? About a year ago I had compiled a list of all of my trades and it would be nice to look back in hindsight. I think the only one that looks bad is Dan Haren for Jordan Zimmerman (before he came back from TJ), Mejia (before he had TJ), Singleton and Dwyer. And Haren carried me to 2nd place that year.

you can view old trades on the CBS site. just go to transactions > trades and then sort by year (i think)

You can't sort previous years trades (at least I can't). It just shows the whole transaction log for the year.

I dropped Carlos Martinez for the 5 player draft when he was unknown. I thought I could pick him up again later but one person knew who he was.

i think all of those deals were good in a vacuum and excellent for someone in win-now mode. you didn't overpay or anything imo. hopefully one of us can win this year; has anyone been more unlucky in this league than the 2 of us?


also, how do you view sale's value relative to CC? i would deal CC for sale + [one of maybe 6-7 guys on your roster]

Sale > CC - even with injury concerns 23 > 32

I actually am happy with all of the deals also. I gave up some good prospects but I got back some well above average currently good players that aren't old. I remember the Votto trade from 3 yrs ago. I'm still waiting for JMontero and Drabek to become good players. Perhaps I traded away a stud but whatever. I've also moved enough guys that I won't have any tough cuts.
