The Red Wings offense continues to score a lot of runs. Rene Rivera had four hits. Joe Benson hit a homer for the second straight game. Rene Tosoni had a two-run doubles, and Aaron Bates recorded another run-scoring double. Ray Chang had two doubles.

Luke French (who is slated to start in New Britain) started and gave up a three-run homer in the first, but he gave up just those three runs in five innings. Brad Thompson and Jeff Manship each threw two scoreless innings.
