What could the Twins get in return for Nick Blackburn in a trade? He is about $8 million for the rest of this season and 2013 combined and I don't think the 2014 club option has a buyout. So would the Twins need to send $10 million along with Blackburn to get a deal done for a backup utility man or 3rd catcher?

A splintered bat and a jar of Lou Piniella's ball sweat, plus the Twins cover 98% of Blackburn's salary?

There is no team in the league that would take Nick Blackburn off our hands.

Money aside - A Blackburn trade would look like two diseased primates throwing feces at each other.

LOL! I actually had the Twins PAYING a team $2 million to take him off their hands. A jar of Lou Piniella's ball sweat would be a great start, but I would hold out for Don Zimmer's pubes.

It'd look like finding a $100 bill wadded up in an old pair of jeans.

Call up the teams from the American Association, offer to pay his salary and send 4-5 dozen baseballs.

Whoa, even Seth has had enough of Nick Blackburn. Any chance we could trade him to the St Paul Saints for that little pig if they still have it?
