    Four Ex-Twins win Silver Sluggers

    Torii Hunter, David Ortiz, JJ Hardy and Michael Cuddyer all won Silver sluggers for their 2013 seasons. Congratulations to them. Joe Mauer won his fifth for the Twins.

    Hadn't noticed that, but it wasn't stellar, was it? Checking the guys with the most innings in RF, I would suggest both Bautista and Cruz as having markedly better seasons at bat than Torii, and Victorino was at about the same level. Still, it's a vote, not just a ranking by OPS or whatever, so they can make it whatever they want; maybe it's not as much fun to vote for a lower BA player like Bautista.

    Shortstops too. Hardy's .738 OPS was Dozier-esque and his OPS+ was 97. Jed Lowrie was the only AL SS with better numbers than JJ, however and he didn't hit as many long balls.

    Before we get too upset, just think of the massive haul we made when those players left. We grabbed the infamous Jim Hoey and...umm...whoops. Nevermind.
