AJ, thanks for your writeup! I've always wondered what it looks like behind the scenes when players need further medical attention. I'm applying to medical school a year from now so to combine a story like this with my love for all things Twins is great! Slightly off-topic, but do you happen to know what Dr. Stuebs specialty is? I've always been curious as to the career path for physicians on professional sports teams. I feel like most are orthopedic specialists, but that's mostly just a guess on my part. Do you have any idea?

No problem, glad you enjoyed it! I am not sure what his specialty is exactly, but he works at Tria, so I'm sure you could find it somewhere. In my experience, he is extremely knowledgeable in many different areas. It has been a pleasure to work with him.

On another note, good luck with applications to med school!

They are great, they have a great group of doctors and other medical personnel there. Plus the facilities are fantastic. Between them and having Mayo down the road, we are lucky to have amazing access to care here.

Great article, AJ. It's a really neat perspective and thanks for sharing it with us.

    Feel better soon!
You can come up with statistics to prove anything. Forty percent of all people know that.

I join in the wishes for you to have a speedy and full recovery.

Because you have Netflix, I would highly recommend that you check out the Netflix series "Orange is the New Black". I can virtually guarantee that watching Laura Prepon portray a lesbian prisoner will greatly increase your blood circulation and promote healing.

AJ Pettersen- just wanted to say how cool it is for you to interact with the online community here at Twins Daily. 99% of sports writers don't interact with their readers/commenters and here you are responding to everyone who commented. I for one appreciate it very much.

And of course good luck on your recovery!!

Part of the reason I like writing for Twins Daily so much is the opportunity it presents to interact with fans. The fact that people take time out of their day to read and comment on my articles is neat. I owe it to everyone to do my best to respond.

Thanks you for your comment and the well wishes!
