OT - looks like LA left Minneapolis just in time; their bats have now woken up. They've tagged Porcello for 9 in the bottom of the 1st against Detroit, including a grand slam by Trout.

How about a bunt attempt, rather than striking out on 3 straight pitches?

Great AB by Dozier. Gets down 0-2 then works the count full. Put enough of the bat on a curveball to get it into left field

Mauer walk >>>>> Needless sacrifice by lousy-hitting middle infielder

Wow, Sox not playing DP depth at SS. Ball that should get them out of the inning is soft single for Willy.

Dozier scores on Willingham single up the middle, Mauer to second. Morneau pops out. 2 out Parm at the plate, struck out first AB

    "Special" coverage of Sweet Caroline

Did this really warrant cutting away from the game?

I've got radio only. Gladden has been going on and on about the strike zone. For those watching, does it seem abnormally wide?

Yes, it's very generous up and on the corners, especially away. Plouffe gets one ball and the exact same, next pitch rings him up. Tough.

Definitely has at times, although I don't really see one team benefiting from it over the other immensely. Good break for Worley IMO

Worley smirks as Hammer can't get to the foul fly ball -- of course no dive for the ball. Many LFs would have gotten to that ball. Good job to get the DP though.
