Span uses te speed and steals 2nd; there's te SB that we all thought was coming. Now if only Mauer could knock him in........or Willingham (Mauer walks)

There are few things in life that cheer me up faster than the Twins leading over the White Sox.

What does the "AFW" on the back of the mound stand for? Not important, just wondering.

From the Gameday "Scout": "That was pitch #45 for Floyd; his effectiveness may start slipping, as he holds batters to a .217 average in his first 45 pitches, then they start hitting .254 off him after that. (not that he already wasn't effective, lolol

Line for the Twins through 2 innings against Floyd: 11 AB, 5 H, 2 BB, 4 runs. It appears that the White Sox transplanted the pitching ability of Marquis into Floyd for tonite's game.

After handing Floyd a long second, the Twins should have been able to do better than get out in only 12 pitches.

Yuck. Off night for Dozier. Hopefully he'll figure it out tonight yet.

Edit: Wow, terrible call on the lead off walk for Walters.

    A) How does Konerko keep putting up these monster numbers during the first half of the season and B) I hope that the Twins pitchers can shut Dunn down in this series and he can go back to the BA he deserves: .215

Seems like these White Sox are getting some solid line drives, but they are all right at Twins players; luck like that never lasts. :/

Wow, another double off of a deflection by a Sox defender; this means that they should be catching certain balls, and aren't quite getting there.

    It appears they did indeed.

And Willingham finally comes through against Floyd and makes him pay for walking Mauer. DOPE!!!!!!!!!! Morneau hits a three-run dinger on an 82 (seriously? That slow?) mph 2-seam fastball!

Is this a sign of the times? The Twins have an 8 run lead, and I'm nervous and just hoping they can hold it!

The last thing you want to do is start walking guys with an 8 run lead.

I have to say, the first pitch to dunn, at least on Gameday, looked like a really, really good pitch. Same with the second pitch to Konerko. This ump appears to have a seriously small strike zone. Good job by Walters to get Konerko to GIDP.

Looks like Morneau is truly back; he has hit two home runs in the last several games and not showing any signs of pain in his wrist.

Yeah, I'd say it's been erratic.
