When you are playing against the Yankees and the home plate umpire, and you know Joe West is lurking and probably pays a bounty when players get tossed, you need to take a win any way you can grab it.

    Twins Win!!!!

Getting cheap wins means we have more to spend on other wins, right?

Anyway, i'd like to white ballot the nap motion...

We need to save them up for Nolasco's August and September win.

The Yankees tried to get Samardzija and were beat out by the A's. After seeing Pino, maybe they might try for him?

We'll probably trade them Pino, Corriea and Willingham for Zealous Wheeler....

This is the line-up I would have tried.

I want Dozier in the three hole because he is the guy most likely to drive in runs with Suzuki getting on as much as he does.
Parmalee is a fill in player, bench, pinch hit type player not a starter.
With Plouffe's recent struggles I would keep him on the bench a few days.
To me playing Colabello at 1st base has more upside than Parmalee in the long run. Both are streaky hitters but I think over the long run Colabello would pan out more at the plate and his defense at first base is just as good as Parmalee. Even though a small sample size I have simply seen Colabello come through with RISP and clutch hit situations more than Parmalee. Parmalee can be effective if you limit his exposure to certain pitchers and use him in a pinch hitting role, fill in outfielder. Doens't matter what I think though for some reason Gardy trust him Parmalee a lot more than his RISP statistics would suggest.
Morales seems like he would settle in more at the five hole than the four on any team. Willingham is a four even with his recent slump, he can handle the pressure that comes with it and Dozier protects gets him more pitches to hit in front of him. Target Field favors pull hitters to left field which a streaky guy like Willingham when he is hot can take advantage of.
I want Willingham in the four as much as possible to feature him for trades and hope that it works out. Dozier has the most potential to become the professional 3 hole hitter consistent run producer we currently have on this Twins team, at least for this year and probably the next couple of years.

    1. Nunenz 3B. Give Plouffe a few days off to regroup find his swing agan.
    2. Suzuki C
    3. Dozier 2nd base (Most potential in current line-up to drive in runs and drive the baseball)
    4. Willingham LF
    5. Morales DH
    6. Arcia RF
    7. Colabello 1st basemen and a right after a lefty.
    8. Escobar SS
    9. Fuld.

Nunez should be motivated to play against the Yankees.

Dozier, he is the only guy capable of handling the bat well and has enough pop in his bat to drive in Suzuki who is the most consistent hitter right now on the ballclub. I know it weakens the leadoff spot a bit but I would rather a slap hitter, like Escobar lead off, take some walks, use some bunts, and bat Dozier after Suzuki, as Dozier is more capable of protecting Suzuki and driving him in or advancing him in to scoring position. That and Dozier allows Willingham to see more and better pitches to hit. I rip Dozier from time to time but only because I think he can be much better than he has been. He is the one true bat that can hit line drives and drive people in right now with Joe Mauer hurt. Gardy see's it, that Dozier is capable of being a 3 hole hitter but so far hasn't put him in that spot because there is not an ideal leadoff hitter right now with Santanna hurt.

This, it is a lot more fun to see them win than lose, doesn't matter the reason for the outcome, winning makes everyone happier and more willing to play.
