Holy cow, that was a shot
I couldn't be a player because of bad eyesight, so I decided to be an umpire instead.

And I totally jinxed Nolasco. The way the Twins are swinging, it is wait for tomorrow.

Yeah... That was on you String... It's alright... I've been guilty myself.

The back-cover bi-fold image was like a gateway drug to origami. And, like everything else in Mad, a parody. Of the Playboy centerfold, of all things.

Thanks for posting the pic of Al. He looks like Belushi's smarter, more cynical older brother.

RIP, Mr. Feldstein. You made lots of people laugh, which is a pretty great legacy in my book.

Dear "Joe will get his hits" crowd. Something is wrong. Did you happen notice that he's struck out almost 30% of the time this year?

Does a Quality Start these days count as a jinx?

(Almost a complete game, but neither do i wish to jinx him...)

I hadn't heard this news... I was a Mad Magazine junkie when younger... Spy vs Spy... All of it...

I'll even say that Mad Magazine influenced me as much as anything did in my life.

Well, we couldn't have asked for much better from Nolasco.
I couldn't be a player because of bad eyesight, so I decided to be an umpire instead.

Nolasco goes 9. That is a silver lining in the midst of a four game losing streak.

He pitched good... I got no complaints... Ubaldo... I just feel weird typing Ubaldo.

Ubaldo was very sharp... It happens. Tomorrow is a new day.

Good topic for the start of a new thread. Might be a fire-starter, but considering the fact that there were alarming trends in his 2013 numbers that warranted concern before the concussion, it's worth throwing out there.

Oh! So your wife came with you! Yes, not a date then.

Don't worry, Jimenez' failure to hit bats will catch up to him eventually.

On a less sardonic note, Nolasco was a ray of sunshine, or at least a hundred-watt bulb. Is the rotation ERA below 6 now? Afraid to look.

RE: Typing 'Ubaldo'. Yeah. Somethin' ain't right there. Still have hair on my head, but still...

Best takeaway from tonight. Hope there will be a breakdown of how he managed it.

Yeah. Delete button still won't erase either the double post or the dog poop in my yard. And 'Frozen' fruit snack didn't restore energy either.

Blaming the aliens who stole my identity and vacationed on my dime in Peru.

Very happy you haven't been swept away in a potential flood, btw.
