What makes David Schoenfield the expert authority on deciding the peramiters?

Punto was disqualified for playing full time in 2006, but there are other Ex Twins who finished high on the list -- in fact one of them is the declared winner. Before reading the article can you guess who?

Probably because he wrote the article?

Cesar Tovar wasn't really a utility player. He was a regular who played a lot of different positions. As a Twin he average over 600 plate appearances for seven years and in 1967 appeared in 164 games (still an American League record---Maury Wills played in 165 for the Dodgers in 62)

Not meaning to nic pic, just a friendly comment.

I'd pick Frank Quilici just because I like Frank Quilici. Best buck- ninety hitter around.

Denny Hocking. We'd call it the Snaggletooth Award.

I remember year AND years ago, living in France, and there was a channel that ran the CBS evening new with Dan Rather, and they ran a story about Hocking, for reasons I have since forgotten. I have been a fan ever since.

Nice win for the Twins, but by narrowing his parameters, he missed 2 time WS champion Al Newman. Reboulet and Hocking did pop into my mind while reading the topic of the article, but I would have never guessed Reboulet had a better WAR than Hocking.

    Nope.

Rollins was a third baseman. The third baseman who made Killebrew move across the diamond. Not utility. Career 830 games at 3B and 27 in other positions

Tovar is the only Twin to play all nine positions in a single game.
