I hope 13 year old me didn't disappoint anyone.

I just think the Pohlad family is far more villainous than Calvin Griffith. The ballclub was Calvin's only income. He HAD to pinch pennies.

But as I was saying, the MacPhail era was the glory years of this franchise.

Ok... But I was 13... I do much better with nuance now.

The loss of Carew was my darkest period. When you get older the darkness is much less dark.

I was so angry and out of sorts. At that moment, if I was in possession of a device where I could push a button and the world would explode, I would have pushed the button.
Maybe I got you beat since I was at the game (as I've said ad nauseum, I live in NYC). Dragging a couple of friends to see the Twins get beat at Yankee Stadium is what I've been doing for the better part of 40 years. At least this one had a certain thrill attached to it.

Sorry still figuring out how to use tools on this sight. Who had the better ops?

Herr probably had the higher OPS, but Brunanaky had a miserable start to the season. I cried when they traded Bruno. I was a heart broken 8th grader.
