You probably didn't mean this the way I interpreted, but what do Drew, Morales and Cruz have to do with "top-tier" free agents? By that I mean, those guys don't fall into that category at all.
I think the rule is, now, that you have to be removed from it in the offseason. So you can't have a guy on the 60 day in November. I'm not sure if there were any rules like that back then or what the...
Full disclose, I don't read over the MLB rules often, this is just something I have heard repeated about a million times (tv/radio-not just Twins, but other broadcasts). It could still be wrong. I...
I think I heard him for a few minutes about a week ago. I'm pretty sure he was talking about hot dogs. So that doesn't really help you..
When they 60 day someone they have to make a corresponding move immediately. They can't leave the spot empty, so I'm guessing they don't want to pick the wrong guy to add to the 40 man since so many...

1500 ESPN reported that he slid feet first and they think it was likely injured when he put his arm down to slide it on the dirt as a guide/stopper and re-aggravated it. Sounds like the same way JJ...
Ditto. I tune them out. I don't even have to mute it. At this point, it's mostly the same thing being said over and over every single game. At least it is if it's Dick/Bert.
I like TK, but I zone...

I like Willingham, but with his age and the amount of health issues he has had lately I think giving him a guaranteed 8 would be a waste of money. Plus the fact that he should be a DH, which he...

Agreed, Mike and then Phil Miller over at the Strib are the two best imo.
For 1-2 years before Dozier came up all the talk was that he very likely could not stick at SS, so the fact that he moved to 2B was 100% expected.
Here's a link to fangraphs that has 2-3 excerpts...
I read that as "he doesn't stop anymore because there's no Mauer" not that "he was still waiving home no one in CO." Doesn't sound like he ever did it in CO.
The paragraph before that was just...
I was thinking about doing this too. Though my profit wouldn't be anywhere near that much.

He's on a strict pitch count.
The difference is that Morneau didn't get his by playing 1B. He got his sliding into 2nd. The symptoms came back by diving for a ball at a later time, but the first concussion that year was one...

During Twinsfest, Benson did an interview with 1500, like most of the players do. He was talking about his injuries and said that the microfracture surgery was to a non-weight-bearing part of the...
