I just posted a chart. I created it in OpenOffice Calc (free Excel alternative), did a screen print, cropped out everything but the chart, saved it as an image, uploaded the image to the post.
Is there an easier way?

I don't believe there is. You can try outputting the chart as HTML and posting it that way but I'm not sure a normal user can post HTML on the forum (I know pure HTML cannot be posted but vBulletin sometimes converts it to a hybrid BBCode/HTML format). I'll see if I can't find an example and try it out.

It looks as if you can just select, copy, and paste in the table data and it will work. If you click on the "a/A" link in the top left of the text editor, you can then edit the table's properties.

Ah, I see the chart you posted. Yeah, you're correct in that creating an image is the only way to produce something like that on the forums.
But the table method I mentioned will work for table data.
