2016 Stohs Prospect Handbook Profile: Minier was the Twins big international signing from the 2012 class. He debuted in the GCL right away in 2013 and hit .214/.252/.455 (.707) with five doubles, two triples and six homers in 31 games. He stayed in the GCL in 2014 for a couple of reasons. First, his struggled in 2013, and second because he had shoulder surgery in the offseason. He was much improved hitting .292/.405/.520 (.925) with 11 doubles and eight homers. At 6-2 and 200 pounds, Minier has the size to develop a lot of power. It has surfaced at times, but injury has cost him development time. He signed as a third baseman, moved to the outfield and then to first base and if probably best defensively and DH. He has a world of offensive potential, but his work ethic has been questioned.
