2016 Stohs Prospect Handbook Profile: The Twins drafted the left-hander in the 35th round of the 2009 draft. Two years later, they selected him in the 28th round out of Cal State-Fullerton. He signed quickly and went to E-Town. In 2012, he posted a 2.76 ERA for Beloit as a starter. He remained in the Midwest League, with Cedar Rapids and pitched out of the bullpen until late in the season when he was moved back to starter and moved up to the Miracle. He was a Florida State League All Star in 2014 but shoulder issues cost him the second half of the season and the first month of 2015. The 6-3, 220 pound lefty, has a fastball that sits in the upper 80s and touches 91. His best pitch has been a cutter. He also has a good curveball and good control. He knows how to pitch.
