Gophers Baseball Beats #2 UCLA 6-2 in 10 Innings

Gophers Knock Off No. 2 UCLA in 10 Innings to Open Season - GOPHERSPORTS.COM - The Official Athletic Site of the Minnesota Gophers

The University of Minnesota upended No. 2 UCLA, 6-2 in 10 innings, tonight at Jackie Robinson Stadium in Los Angeles. Tied 2-2 heading into the top of the 10th, the Golden Gophers scored four runs en route to a season-opening win. Trailing 2-0 until they tied it in the seventh inning, the Gophers took their first lead of the game in the 10th.
Big season-opening win for the Gophers baseball program. Tom Windle, a pitcher who will likely be drafted quite high in the 2013 draft, started for the Gophers and went the first four innings. They then got 6 scoreless innings of relief and some really good defense.

This is fun to see. Haven't followed Gopher baseball much since the days of Dick Siebert, but maybe I should.
Especially given how competitive I expect the Twins to be.
