Unfortunate injury to RG3 and Nationals handling of Strasburg
In the days after RG3 suffered what could be a career limiting knee injury on an already gimpy knee, did anyone of you think about the Nationals play it safe approach? I thought it was ironic that both teams are up and coming. One choose to play all of it's cards now, and the other decided to take a more cautious approach. The Nats got ripped a lot in the national press in the months leading up to their first playoff appearance, and now the Redskins are taking their fair share of criticism after RG3s.

Totally different. Strasburg was healthy, and not injured. RGIII was injured.

RGIII was essenially 99% of the Redskins offense; the Redskins had no choice but to play him. The Nationals, while they obviously could have used him, had the luxuary of being careful with Strasburg.

There's also the difference between football and baseball. In football there is a lot of parity and teams rise and fall fast. In baseball a team like the National's is poised for a 5+ year run.
