Tigers trying to Trade Porcello for J.J. Hardy
mlbtraderumors.com: "The Tigers and Cubs are discussing a potential three-way trade that would send Rick Porcello to Chicago with the Orioles as the third party, according to Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com. The Tigers want Baltimore involved because they want shortstop J.J. Hardy and they don't feel that the Cubs have the necessary components to make it a two-team trade." Tigers, Cubs, Orioles Discussed Three-Way Deal: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com
From a Twins Perspective this is scary. Not that the Twins will contend next year anyway, but Hardy is signed through 2014. And I would rather not see any of the A.L. Central teams be really good. And this would make a Really good Tigers team even better.
I doubt it will happen though unless the Tigers give up much more.

I've never thought too highly of Peralta. They would probably try to flip him for a prospect or two.

Maybe if the Twins trade Corriea to the Orioles and Blackburn to the Cubs, they could get Hardy or Peralta. or Soriano.

Is Hardy all that much better than Peralta? Hardy clearly has a better glove, but also a sub .300 OBP and I have a feeling he would drop in HRs moving from Baltimore to Detroit.
Papers...business papers.

I wonder why you would even trade for Porcello , yes he is young , but has about 6/9 k rate , a career 4.55 ERA, he is to me a younger Correia
with a little more zip

Good grief, if JJ Hardy ends up in the AL Central he will hit 10 bombs vs. Minnesota next year.

How Are AA Pitchers Approaching Miguel Sano?
Last week, I was in the right place at the right time: the AA debuts of top Twins' prospect Miguel Sano and Eddie Rosario. One big takeaway from Sano's and Rosario's first couple AA games was that...
