Melky Cabrera
Despite his suspension, is it statistically possible for him to win the batting crown, or will he be DQ'd or will he be short in # of AB's?

I recall reading where he would be short 3-5 plate appearances or whatever.

He can still win it. if he's 5 plate appearances short, they would give him an 0-5 and if he's still leading, he still wins the title. I think Tony Gwynn won once that way.

It's the Willie McGee way to win. McGee won the NL batting title despite being traded midseason to Oakland in 1990 because giving him an 0-fer on the rest of his ABs needed to qualify still had him hitting better than anyone else in the NL did that year. All the more reason to cheer for Andrew McCutchen, currently at .345 to Melky's .346.
