Qualifying Offers
Buster Olney just tweeted that qualifying offers will be worth $13.3-13.4 million instead of the $12.4-12.5 that was expected. Wow. Liriano might be worth that... over 2 years.

Wow, that changes things a little. Not a surprised they traded him now. I wouldn't be surprised to see them try to sign him as a FA though.

Since neither side even attempted to bring up an extension, I'm guessing neither party has much interest in a reunion.

I've been hearing $13M for most of the season, so that's not surprising to me at this point. I'd imagine a guy like Michael Bourn will get one regardless, but $12M to $13M isn't going to be a big enough jump for most teams to change their mind. If they'd give $12M, I'd assume they'd give $13M.
