Favorite Baseball Movie?
The Academy Awards are this weekend and there is even a baseball movie nominated in the Best Picture category?!?!
In honor of the Oscars, I was wondering, "What's your favorite baseball movie?"

I'm still a Field of Dreams guy. It came out at just the right time during my childhood.

Honestly Moneyball may have been my favorite yet.
I was always a sucker for Angels in the Outfield as a youngster. Field of Dreams of course is a classic. The Rookie was pretty solid.

Major League
Easily my favorite is Major League. Very realistic, lots of good lines.

Probably Little Big League, but the Major League movies are up there. Moneyball was phenomenal as well.
To be honest, if it's about baseball, I'd probably enjoy it.

The Natural as far as serious movies go, but I loved Major League as well

Toss up between Bull Durham and Major League, but I hold Field of Dreams and Eight Men Out very near those two. Never enjoyed The Natural. I liked Moneyball, but it's not with those first four for me. *61 was really good. There are so many good baseball movies.

There are so many good baseball movies but my favorite has to be The Sandlot. I grew up on that movie. "You play ball like a girl!" Classic

Bang The Drum Slowly
Bang The Drum Slowly with DeNiro and Michael Moriarty.
I watch it every spring.
I wish the rest of Mark Harris's baseball novels could be made into movies as well.
Also would like to see The Celebrant, by Eric Rolfe Greenberg, probably the best baseball novel ever written, in film.

Moneyball was shut out at the Oscar's last night but that's nothing new for baseball themed movies.

The Sandlot might be the best movie of all time, but I'm giving Major League the title of best baseball movie of all time.

I'm a farmer from Iowa who loves baseball and has had a strong faith. 'Field of Dreams' will always be my favorite all-time movie. If you guys have never been to the field, it makes a wonderful weekend for you and your family. Bring gloves, bats, balls, and of course, a camera!
