Kubel and Cuddyer
Cuddyer still likes Coors Field and Kubel likes Chase Field (I think those are the current names) even better. Neither is tearing it up on the road.

Those numbers prove nottin and if the Twins would have kept just one of them they would be a 500 team right now. Letting them go and get nottin is not great.

Got JO Berrios, Luke Bard & JT Chargois.....wouldnt say they got nothing.
Saying one of those is worth 10-12 game difference if pretty funny.
If they woulda kept one of those, then Ben Revere doesnt play....& then we have the worst defensive corner OF in majors.
Great decision to let 2 overrated/whiny players go & start rebuilding.

The Twins got draft picks for them. I think we are better off with Willingham and Revere and this gives some salary flexibility for pitching. I think letting them go was the correct move

Absolutely it was the correct move to let them go... and I hope they both have great careers elsewhere, both are great people and very good ball players.

Kubel season is due to his finally bein able to hit lefties .287/.346/.468 in 94ABs vs a career average of .239/.312/.365 with Twins
Coincidence that he finally left MN & Joe Vavra???

How many games did Thomas, Konatsu, Parmelee, Valencia, Hughes, Burroughs ect, win for you? How many more losses and years before
your draft picks develop and will they. I believe in winning now the hell with tomorrow.

Remember how TRyan was NOT sold on Revere...wonder where he stands now. That cost us signing Komatsu/Thomas....tho Bens time in AAA with Bruno turned his swing around (thanks Joe Vavra).
Dont know how many people forget Ryan Doumit was our opening day RF. It took forever for TRyan/Gardy to get an idea of what this everyday lineup should be....for the most part (not perfect by any means). Gardy had Kubel/Cuddy hangover also.

No doubt Willy & Doumit were good signs, wasn't much for free agent SP out there, Buehrle, Wilson, Jackson, Kuroda was about it.

Hard to see where pitchers with the following lines would benefit the Twins:
3.25 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 4.13 k/bb
2.43 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, 7.1 k/9
3.73 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 2.53 k/bb
3.50 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, 2.59 k/bb
2.62 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, 8.0 k/9
4.05 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 3.41 k/bb
3.51 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 7.0 k/9
3.69 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 6.9 k/9

Straight up comparison before Saturday's games:
Kubel/Cuddyer - .278/.345/.504 .849 OPS
Doumit/Hammer - .274/.352/.501 .853 OPS
Same production, plus draft choices. Good call by good guys (Twins) on that front.

Where's the chart that factors in Cuddyer's veteran presence and his ability to keep people loose by doing illusions???
