Nastiest Pitches
marianorivera.jpg
For years Mariano Rivera's cutter has been acknowledged as one of the nastiest pitches in baseball. What other current MLB pitcher's pitches would you put in that category? Stephen Strasburg's fastball? Cole Hamel's changeup? Adam Wainwright's curve? Feel free to use data to support your choice. (PITCHf/x, etc.)Last edited by Teflon; 05-28-2012 at 11:09 AM.

RA Dickey and his knuckleball have been very good this year but it seems weird to consider the knuckleball as a nasty pitch.

Sabathia slider or kershaw curve for active players.... I think maddux 2-seam for non-active

Hamels changeup was sick the other night, seen him pitch before but obviously wasn't watching closely enough. One of my favorites would be a healthy Brandon Webb sinker. Sick movement and comes off of bats like a bowling ball.

I like Verlander's curve.

Well, I have to say Chapman's fastball, Strasburg's changeup, and Kershaw's slider are all disgusting.
