Rich Harden to miss 2012 season
Including his lost 2013 season, he will have thrown 928 1/3 innings over his 10 year career. That's less than 100 innings per season on average.
His career high innings total is 189 2/3, which he pulled off in his second season way back in 2004. That means over 20% of his career innings came in 1 season 9 years ago (at the end of 2013).
In the other 9 seasons of his career, he will have averaged just 82 innings per season.
And somehow he's made more than $23.5 million in his career, averaging over $25,000 and inning.

thant is some good statistical (and financial) analysis. It's a very good thing that I didn't write the blog last night that I was planning to. I seriously was contemplating a blog on if the Twins might be considering Harden. I think this is a good case of... maybe we don't know as much as teams do.
