Could Fraiser be the coach of the year?

I'm guessing it comes down to him or Carroll personally.

I think he has a shot.

Probably finishes in the top 3-4 along with Fox, Smith, and Carroll.

I would imagine it would go to whoever actually wins their division between Shanahan and Carroll. If neither takes it, probably one of the top two seeds in each conference.

The headcoach in Indy is probably the lead candidate, along with Carroll and Shanahan.

You don't think Fox has a shot at it? I see he and Shanahan as very similar, except one team is much better.

They might figure out a way to give it to Pagano/Arians, but it's a weird situation where the coach wasn't there most of the year. I could see it, but can you really credit a coach who was in a hospital?

I think Elway should get whatever their executive of the year award is, but I'd find it hard to believe they would award Fox when it's pretty obvious that Manning is the reason they are whatever they are. I know he's not on my list. Shanahan has a lot more control over personnel, and they've molded their offense around Griffin, whereas Manning molds the offense around himself. If you've got two division winners with rookie quarterbacks, I don't know how you snub both of them for the guy who was handed the greatest player in NFL history who does a lot of the work for him.

If we're talking coaching ability and personnel control, I don't know how Shanahan gets any nods over Carroll. In my opinion, even without the NFC West, you'd have to give it to Carroll in that situation.

You have to go with Pagano/Arians in Indy... Look what happened to NO with Payton out.

If he can guide the team to a win this upcoming Sunday, he has my vote
Mastermind of the "Free Bert" sign.
