I lived in Tulsa, OK for a few years and the football down there was insane. They televised 3rd grade football games, compete with color commentary ("what will he be like at 16?" and replays). One of the high schools avg 25 students per teacher but had four linebacker coaches.

It's worse in Taiwan (and most of Asia). That's how parents approach academics. I wonder when (if) this craze to push young children will ever end.
